Award for Distinguished Teaching
2004-2005 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
The Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching recognizes a maximum of 10 faculty for outstanding achievement in teaching. Students, faculty, and alumni may nominate candidates, and a committee comprised of students, faculty, and alumni chooses the recipients. Recipients are recognized with a $3,000 honorarium made possible by gifts from The Ohio State University Alumni Association, University Development, and the Office of Academic Affairs. In addition, the Office of Academic Affairs awards an increase of $1,200 to each recipient's base salary.
Faculty members with the rank of instructor through full professor in the regular or clinical track are eligible. Faculty may not receive the award more than once . For a listing of previous recipients, check online at http://oaa.osu.edu/06awards.html .
Nominations should include the nominee's name and rank (check for faculty rank at http://www.osu.edu/findpeople.php ), department, reasons for nomination, the nominator's name and e-mail address or telephone number, and identification as an undergraduate student, a graduate student, a professional student, faculty member or alumna/us.
Nominations may be submitted in one of the following ways:
