Andraea (AJ) Douglass
Vice President for Talent, Culture and Human Resources

Andraea (AJ) Douglass became vice president of the Office of Human Resources in February 2013. In this capacity, she provides direction for more than 500 human resources staff professionals across the university and Wexner Medical Center in support of the Ohio State’s academic mission. The Office of Human Resources focuses on building a culture of eminence, identifying opportunities to simplify processes and streamline systems, and refining and implementing a talent strategy that will attract and retain the finest workforce.

Ms. Douglass came to Ohio State from Senn Delaney, where she worked with senior leaders of large-scale organizations to create healthy, high-performance cultures. Her diversified client list includes WellPoint, Nationwide Insurance, KeyCorp, Merck Pharmaceuticals, The Ohio State University, HP, and McDonald's, among others. Prior to joining Senn Delaney, Ms. Douglass worked as an internal consultant for Mutual of Omaha specializing in executive coaching, quality processes, culture change, management development and human resources processes. She also has worked with the United States Air Force.

She has wealth of skills and experience, including innovative problem solving, expertise in process implementation, and strong relationship management and communication skills, as well as the ability to diagnose and identify performance issues and determine solutions. She has a depth of experience aligning the organizational culture with strategy and structure.

Ms. Douglass received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources from Bellevue University. She has also earned a teaching degree from the United States Air Force.
