Chief Information Officer

Kathleen Starkoff is the Chief Information Officer for The Ohio State University. As CIO, she is responsible for leveraging technology in innovative ways to advance and support the mission of the university.

With more than 20 years of information technology leadership experience, Ms. Starkoff came to Ohio State from Limited Brands, where she was Group Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to her service at Limited Brands, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Banc One Corporation.

She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in mathematics from Kent State University with minors in business administration and chemistry.

  • Information technology
  • IT strategy, architecture, policies and standards
  • IT security
  • Delivery of University-wide application and infrastructure systems (e.g. OSU Mobile, PeopleSoft HR, Finance and Student Information Systems)
  • Delivery of University-wide data warehouse and the associated intelligence tools
