The Committee on Academic Misconduct (COAM) is charged with maintaining the academic integrity of The Ohio State University by establishing procedures for and investigating all reported cases of alleged academic misconduct by students.
In those instances where a student is found to have violated the university's Code of Student Conduct, the Committee determines a suitable disciplinary sanction.
COAM is happy to announce its co-sponsorship of Professor James M. Lang’s visit to OSU’s campus. Lang, Associate Professor of English at Assumption College and former assistant director of the Searle Center for Teaching Excellence at Northwestern University, is author of the recently published book Cheating Lessons: Learning from Academic Dishonesty (ISBN 978-0-674-72463-1). Excerpts from the book were featured this past autumn in a series in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Lang will address the OSU community on March 24, 2014, 3:30 pm- 5:00pm at the Longaberger Alumni House, 2200 Olentangy River Road.
