Summary
The Women's Place serves as a catalyst for institutional change to expand the opportunities for women's growth and leadership in an inclusive, supportive and safe university environment. The Director of The Women's Place will serve as a leader, advocate and advisor to move the mission of embracing a vision of the university that supports all women to thrive, advance, and make their full contributions within an environment characterized by equity, freedom and dignity for all people; initiates structured conversations; working with various university governing bodies to develop, implement, monitor and assess a strategic plan and programs for The Women's Place; assists the university's efforts to increase diversity of faculty and staff and foster richly diverse campus communities; assesses the status of women at the university and identifies cutting-edge policy and approaches to addressing disparities; partner with units and leaders across Ohio State's campuses to identify and serve as a catalyst for opportunities to improve the climate for women faculty and staff, with the goal of enhancing job satisfaction and quality of life for all OSU employees; helps to communicate and showcase the strengths and talents of women faculty and staff throughout the university; demonstrates and represents The Ohio State University's Institutional Values with an emphasis on safeguarding the community's commitment to those values in the midst of ongoing change.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; significant large organization administrative experience and demonstrated leadership in the community affairs.

Desired Qualifications
Leadership experience in a position related to women and women's programs; leadership experience in programs devoted to issues and challenges faced by women and minorities.
