Welcome to the web site of the Office of Academic Affairs at The Ohio State University. As you will see when you explore its pages, the Office of Academic Affairs spearheads the university's progress in academic programming, faculty development, and student academic affairs.

In the coming year, to ensure that Ohio State continues to be defined by unexcelled teaching and learning opportunities, a vibrant culture of intellectual and creative contribution, and a commitment to serving its constituents around the globe, my colleagues and I will bring special attention to the following academic priorities:

• Campus infrastructure, including the integration of strategic planning and collaborative capital projects, the enhancement of learning technology, and a renewed examination of student housing issues;
• Human and financial resources, including a focus on faculty and staff recruitment and the quality of the student experience, budget rebasing and strategic planning initiatives, the implementation of our Centers for Innovation, and the ongoing development of the University System of Ohio; and
• Programming, including the coordination of the life sciences and the environmental and earth sciences across the university, the evolution of the arts and sciences federation, and the expansion of Ohio State's international presence.
