Toycee Hague-Palmer

Toycee has worked in the Office of Institutional Research and Planning (IRP) for five years.  She is currently the Program Manager for academic support unit program review.  She is responsible for planning and directing support unit reviews throughout the university and serves as a liaison between the Central Services Subcommittee of the University Senate Fiscal Committee, Vice Presidents of the units under review, university departments and external reviewers.   Additionally, she manages the fiscal and administrative operations within IRP.  Her prior experience includes positions in the Offices of Student Affairs and Minority Affairs at The Ohio State University (OSU) and Associate Director and Counselor for the University of Toledo (UT) Upward Bound Program. 

 

Toycee is currently pursuing a doctoral degree and has earned a Master of Education in Educational Theory & Social Foundations from UT and Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from OSU.  Her areas of expertise include higher education administration, academic support unit program review, program and event planning, student advising, recruitment, and student development.

 

Toycee is a member of the Association for Institutional Research, Ohio Association of Institutional Research and Planning and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  Additionally, she has had a long membership in the Mid-American Educational Opportunity Program Personnel, Ohio Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (OAEOPP) and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ohio.  She co-chaired the OAEOPP Student Leadership Conference and the University of Toledo Upward Bound Student Empowerment Conference from 1998-2003. 

 

Toycee has a keen interest in providing educational opportunity for all students regardless of race, ethnic background or economic circumstance with an emphasis on the quality of urban and higher education for African American males and disadvantaged youth. She is concerned about issues affecting minority students as it relates to college preparation and transition, student engagement, achievement, retention, and equal educational access.
