Committee on the University-Wide Review of Undergraduate Education
November 7, 2005: Release of Report by the Executive Vice President and Provost
By March 15, 2006: Campus Comments to the Provost
- Individual/group faculty, student, staff responses submitted.
By May 1, 2006: College Responses to the Provost
- Arts and Sciences (ASC), through established department/school/coIlege processes, submits responses to the ASC Committee on Curriculum and Instruction, and then to the ASC Senate.
- other undergraduate colleges, through established processes, develop and submit responses.
- the Office of Academic Affairs convenes meeting(s) of ASC with other undergraduate colleges to review/consult on responses.
By September 15, 2006: Review /Action by the Council on Academic Affairs (CAA)
- Provost transmits campus-wide and college responses to CAA.
- CAA develops its response/action.
By October 1, 2006: Implementation Committee Established
By October 30, 2006: Discussion of CAA Action
- CAA action shared/discussed with: Senate Steering Committee, Faculty Council, Arts and Sciences Senate, Council on Student Affairs, Undergraduate Student Government.
By November 2006
- Review of/action on CAA recommendations by the University Senate.
By Autumn 2007
- New curricular requirements take effect for incoming class. Schedule for transition of already-enrolled students to be determined
