President and Provost's Award for Distinguished Faculty Service
The President and Provost's Award for Distinguished Faculty Service recognizes up to three faculty members annually whose contributions to the development and implementation of university policies and programs through non-administrative roles have been extensive and have made a documentable impact on the quality of the University. Nominees will have served in leadership roles (either elected or appointed), on university-level committees, or in similar capacities and should have evidence of continuing effective teaching and an active program of research, scholarship, or creative work. The Office of Academic Affairs presents recipients a $3,000 cash award and an increase of $1,200 to their base salary.
Nomination packets should include:
- a letter of nomination that describes the nominee's university service contributions in terms of importance and impact, as well as breadth of service;
- four letters of support from other members of the Ohio State university community who have been in positions to observe and/or assess the nominee's contributions; and
- the nominee's current curriculum vitae.
