SIS Communications - Faculty

The Ohio State University has implemented a new Student Information System (SIS), and beginning summer 2009, instructors must use the SIS Faculty Center to obtain class rosters and submit grades, unless they use Carmen. The Faculty Center may be accessed via the Faculty/Staff tab at buckeyelink.osu.edu. All course instructors have access to the Faculty Center, which provides convenient online access to:

 
  • -Relevant student and class details
  • -Class rosters (view and print)
  • -The grade roster instructors will use to verify and post final grades
  • -An easy way for instructors to e-mail students on a roster
  • -The Schedule of Classes (Master Schedule)
  • -Information about an instructor’s advisees, if that instructor is also an advisor

A variety of resources has been developed to assist faculty and other instructors with using the new system. Many of these resources, listed below, are also available on the Faculty/Staff tab at buckeyelink.osu.edu.
