Timeline

The Student Information System (SIS) project can be broken down into five major phases - Planning, Fit/Gap, Design, Development and Testing. In January of 2008, the Testing Phase began for all five waves, from Alpha through Echo. During each wave, software functionality for the new SIS is being tested and implemented according to the lifecycle of an Ohio State student, beginning with admission to the university and ending with commencement.

Beginning in June,2008 – Implementations completed for Graduate/Professional Admissions and Recruitment.
Beginning in August, 2008 – Implementations completed for Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment.
Beginning in November,2008 – Implementations completed for Student Records, Financial Aid and Campus Community.
Beginning in March, 2009 – Implementations completed for Student Records, Financial Aid and Student Financials.
Beginning in June, 2009 – Implementations completed for Student Records, Financial Aid and Student Financials.
