2019 BTAA Academic Leadership Program Nominations
Established in 1989, this intensive experience develops leaders and managerial skills for faculty who have demonstrated exceptional ability and academic promise. The Academic Leadership Program (ALP) consists of three seminars hosted by different Big Ten Academic Alliance universities. In addition, ALP Fellows participate in on-campus activities throughout the academic year. The program is specifically oriented to address the challenges of academic administration at major research universities and to help faculty members prepare to meet them.
Meeting Dates
October 3–5, 2019 — Michigan State University
February 6–8, 2020 — University of Maryland
April 2–4, 2020 — The Ohio State University
Nominations are due April 30, 2019, and may be submitted via e-mail to FacultyAffairs@osu.edu.
Nominations must include:
- a dean's letter of support
- a letter of interest from the candidate
- a list of previous leadership programs attended
- a current curriculum vita
