Ohio State is utilizing the JRC Art Advisory firm to conduct an artwork inventory compiling a list of all paintings, sculptures, prints, artists’ books and videos on the Columbus campus. This work will allow the artwork pieces to be better preserved and cared for while being properly appraised and insured. The inventory also supports a larger focus on bringing greater visibility to the campus art, and to integrate it more meaningfully into the teaching and research missions of the university.
Campus community members are asked to assist by granting JRC Art Advisory representatives access to buildings and rooms where art is displayed or stored. Additionally, if you know of pieces that might be overlooked during the inventory (i.e. – they are hidden away in storage or in a space not easily accessible to the public), please share that information via this online portal.
