University-Level Advisory Committee for General Education (ULAC-GE)
The University-Level Advisory Committee for General Education is a subcommittee of the Council on Academic Affairs. The committee monitors general education university wide, provides annual reports to the Council on the status of general education, and advises the Council on proposals to revise the general education curriculum. Its duties include analyzing trends in general education courses, reviewing actions on course proposals, studying the use of exceptions and substitutions, identifying advising issues, monitoring the national dialogue, assessing the efficacy of general education outcomes, and identifying whether changes are needed. The committee shares information with related committees including the College of Arts and Sciences Curriculum Committee.
