Instructors sought for new GE

If you are a lecturer, senior lecturer, clinical faculty, or professional staff with teaching experience who would like to make a difference in the lives of new students and help Ohio State enter an exciting new phase of instruction, we want you to join our team.

When the university launches its new General Education (GE) curriculum in autumn 2022, Ohio State will offer the first of two Bookend courses for the first time. The Launch seminar, GenEd 1201, is a one credit hour course designed to introduce students to the structure and function of the GE, support critical academic skills and habits important for college success, and guide students in planning curricular and co-curricular experiences that integrate GE courses.

Instructors will receive a professionally designed curriculum, Carmen course shell, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and learning in this course. Each section will enroll 19 students and compensation will be $3000 per section. Instructors must have a masters or doctoral degree in any field.  For all current OSU employees, we will work with you to help you achieve a desired overall % FTE and balance with your current position.
