J. Craig Jenkins is Academy Professor of Sociology and Senior Research Scientist, Mershon Center for International Security Studies. His research focuses on political conflict and change, humanitarian crises and disaster management, and problems of environmental resilience. He has published over 100 articles and book chapters and 4 books. He is currently co-PI on the NSF-funded Survey Data Recycling Project, and working on studies of protest and democratization, rentier economies, and problems of disaster management and resilience in coastal Bangladesh. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, a past Fulbright Fellow and Leiv Eriksson Mobility Fellow to Norway, and a Visiting Fellow at the Program on Nonprofit Organizations, Yale University. He received the Robin M. Williams Jr. Award for Distinguished Contributions to Scholarship, Teaching and Service in Peace, War and Conflict and Deputy Editor of the American Sociological Review.
