As previously announced by President Michael V. Drake, Ohio State has launched a national search for an executive vice president and chancellor for academic health care. Bruce A. McPheron, executive vice president and provost, is chairing the search advisory committee of faculty, staff and students from across the university.
Gregory S. Rose, PhD, dean and director of Ohio State Marion, will chair a national search advisory committee for the next dean and director of Ohio State Lima.
Michael C. Eicher, senior vice president, Office of University Advancement, has agreed to serve as chair of the search advisory committee for the next vice provost of global strategies and international affairs.
Trevon Logan, professor and chair, Department of Economics, College of Arts and Sciences, has agreed to serve as the chair of the search advisory committee for the next executive director of the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity.
Dr. David Williams, dean of the College of Engineering and executive dean of the professional colleges, will serve as chair of a search advisory committee for the next senior vice president for research.
The search advisory committee will host two listening sessions for faculty and staff during the search for the university's senior vice president of research. The feedback collected during these conversations will help shape the profile of our next research leader.
Sessions will be held:
- Monday, January 8, 2018, 10-11 a.m., Fisher College of Business, Mason Hall 2nd Floor Rotunda (2100 Neil Ave.)
- Monday, January 22, 2018, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Ross Auditorium in the Ross Heart Hospital (452 W 10th Ave.)
During the sessions, we will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing our next senior vice president of research, as well as the experience and other qualifications that would best prepare someone for academic leadership at Ohio State.
