Three key messages to amplify
Congratulations to everyone involved in teaching and supporting our students this year. Friday was the final day of classes this semester, and finals begin today. Please amplify these messages with your areas of the university community.
You can be vaccinated at the Union: Starting today (April 26), the university has opened a vaccination site in the Ohio Union to serve students, faculty and staff. Through at least Friday, May 7, vaccinations will be offered Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the Performance Hall, which is on the first floor. Appointments can be scheduled through MyChart or by calling the Wexner Medical Center COVID-19 vaccine hotline at 614-688-VAXX; 614-688-8299). Information about the union, Schottenstein Center and other vaccination sites throughout Ohio are listed on the Safe and Healthy vaccination page.
Finish the semester with care: The end of the semester can be stressful for students, faculty and staff in normal times, but everyone is dealing with additional stressors this year. All year long, we've sought to be mindful about the wellness of our students and colleagues, and we need to remain thoughtful as we enter these final days. Please encourage anyone who needs assistance to take advantage of resources such as the Counseling and Consultation Service (for students), Employee Assistance Center, the Safe and Healthy wellness page and Racial Justice Resources.
Take a moment to recognize your team. Our community's response to the pandemic has been extraordinary, but that's only true because of the commitment of so many students, faculty and staff. As we near the end of the semester, please accept our thanks — and please share our appreciation with your team.
Teaching resources to migrate
Starting in mid-May, the university will be transitioning content from the Keep Teaching website — which was created in response to the pandemic — to the new Teaching and Learning Resource Center. This hub for resources and draws from partners across campus, including the Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning.
Upcoming events
At noon today (April 26)Using Carmen to Assess Your Program will walk participants through creating outcomes, rubrics and quiz questions that can be embedded into assignments across courses. This workshop is a continuation of the university's annual assessment conference.
