OAA Shared Services

The Office of Academic Affairs provides direct support to affiliated units through four shared service areas. Staff in these areas report directly through OAA and support ongoing internal operations as well as supporting key partnerships throughout the university.

Fiscal Services

The OAA Fiscal Services team handles purchases and other transactions for OAA and its reporting units, and also acts as a liaison to the Procurement Shared Services Center (PSSC).

HR Service Center

The HR Service Center provides customer service related to HR, payroll and new hire transactions along with guidance on university HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and data integrity.

Information Technology

The Office of Academic Affairs works with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) for IT support. Through a managed information technology services (MITS) partnership, OCIO provides end user support services, infrastructure and security services, web application development and much more for OAA.

Communications

The communications staff in Academic Affairs is responsible for communication from the provost’s office and leadership team to the university community, and for the office’s associated website. In addition, we assist with strategic communications about events that originate with Academic Affairs, such as faculty orientations and leadership retreats, and for units that fall under its umbrella, such as the Michael V. Drake Institute for Teaching and Learning and the Emeritus Academy.
