Description
One of the concerns many faculty share about AI is that it has infiltrated students’ writing and thinking processes in ways that interrupt their learning. In this workshop, facilitators from Writing Across the Curriculum will share some of the research on the effects of Generative AI on critical thinking, along with studies on students’ perceptions of AI use in the process of writing. They will also give participants an opportunity to consider assignments and activities--some which might involve Gen AI and some which might not--to help students develop key critical thinking skills in their disciplines.
