Former Baseball Player Calls His Choice to Attend Ohio State Mansfield a Home Run
Kidron Stamper had big plans when he graduated from Ontario High School in 2016. He originally intended to go to school in southern Ohio to play baseball at a private college. However, a torn rotator cuff changed all of that. The Mansfield native decided to stay at home and go to The Ohio State University at Mansfield. Stamper originally saw the change in plans as a negative, now however, he believes the injury changed the course of his life in a very positive way.
College of Arts and Sciences Interim Leadership
Janet M. Box-Steffensmeier, PhD, has accepted an offer to serve as interim vice provost for the arts and sciences and executive dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Subject to approval by the Board of Trustees, her appointment is effective July 1, 2018.
College of Arts and Sciences Leadership Transition
David C. Manderscheid, Vice Provost for the Arts and Sciences and Executive Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, has accepted the position of Senior Vice Chancellor and Provost at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, effective July 1, 2018. He will continue in his current role until June 30, 2018.
New Intellectual Property Policy Effective April 15
For the past several years, the Committee on Intellectual Property, Patents, and Copyrights (IPPC) has been drafting a revised intellectual property policy for the university, its faculty, staff and students to help modernize a policy that has not been substantially updated or revised in several decades.
Kirwan to deliver Patterson Lecture May 2
The 15th Annual James F. Patterson Land-Grant University Lecture will feature former president of Ohio State William E. Brit Kirwan on May 2 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. The lecture honors former Board of Trustees member James Patterson and the cause to which he is most committed - a vibrant university fulfilling its land-grant mission in an ever-changing world. Registration is required and seating is limited.
