I am pleased to share that Eric Anderman is being appointed vice provost for regional campuses, effective this week.
In his new role, Eric will provide innovative leadership to support and advance Ohio State’s regional campuses. He will work with the campuses and across the university to support curricular innovation, enrollment, resource management and workforce development. Regional campus deans and directors will report to Eric, and together, this team will partner to develop and implement programs to increase student enrollment, share resources among the campuses and develop a skilled workforce for the local communities we serve across the state.
Eric brings a wealth of experience to this new role, both as a faculty member and as a leader. He is a professor of educational psychology in the College of Education and Human Ecology’s Department of Education Studies, where he served as the department’s inaugural chair from 2013-19.
More recently, from 2022-24 Eric served as interim dean and director of Ohio State Mansfield, where he provided valuable leadership. This academic year, he has been working as a faculty fellow in the Office of Academic Affairs to support regional campus strategies.
Eric is a champion of Ohio State’s regional campuses and the critical role they play in bringing our land-grant mission to life across the state through access, research, community engagement and workforce development. We also have a fantastic team of new regional campus deans in place across our campuses, and I am eager to support this team in their shared work.
Please join me in congratulating Eric Anderman and welcoming him to his new role in the Office of Academic Affairs.
Sincerely,
Ravi V. Bellamkonda
Executive Vice President and Provost
