Damon Jaggars

Damon E. Jaggars is vice provost and dean of University Libraries, where he provides vision, strategic direction and leadership for one of the nation’s leading academic research libraries. His administrative background includes extensive experience in service planning and assessment, collection development and management, facilities planning and design, budgetary management, and organizational development, as well as building distinctive and unique collections and developing information technology infrastructures within research libraries.

Jaggars previously served as interim vice provost and university librarian at Columbia University, following several years as associate university librarian for collections and services. Beginning in 1996, he worked at the University of Texas Libraries in several roles, including associate director for user services, associate director for student and branch services, and head librarian of the Undergraduate Library. He began his career at the Iona College Libraries, where he served as coordinator of information technology/access.
