OnCourse FAQs for Staff

What is OnCourse/Navigate360?

OnCourse is a 3rd party platform that Ohio State staff can use to report on appointments or drop-ins, check students into meetings, invite students to events, review notes and emails sent to students, and report on these things. These are all part of the student academic record. Additionally, OnCourse brings in student data from the Student Information System (SIS) each night to assist staff with this work

How do I get access to OnCourse?

See "Getting Staff Access" in the Staff Handbook.

What is the difference between the student site/app and the staff site?

The new student site is designed for students to easily access things like appointment summaries and scheduling. It’s optimized for mobile as well. The staff site is designed to be used on a computer and prioritizes things that staff need, like access to assigned student lists, ease in adding appointment summaries or sending emails, and using advanced search.

How do I learn more about the different ways I can use OnCourse?

You can find a lot of information about how to use OnCourse in the Staff Handbook, which includes information on how to use Student Lists, Advanced Search, Analytics and Reporting, Appointment, Messaging and Event Campaigns, and manage Cases.

If you still have questions, please email oncourse@osu.edu.
